Today I helped my brother John install the blades onto our dad’s 8 foot Fairbanks-Morse Model 45 windmill that will sit atop a 40 foot mast.

Installing the blade sections, each section has 3 blades.
Holding the wheel in place so John could fit the sections in.
Not all sections were straight, so John had to use some brute force sometimes even pry bars to get the bolts in the holes.
Completed wheel. Next step, Installing the vane
Nice! How did you/are you going to get it to the top of the tower??
Dad is going to see if one of his friends can get a bucket truck out here to lift it to the top.
